Family and children portrait

I had the great opportunity to shoot the Kastens and their beautiful boys. The boys are at that age where sitting still is not part of their normal life so getting them to pose together was a challenge. We came up with the idea of having Mason feed his baby brother and that opened up lots of photo possibilities. You can see the love between them and also the fun and energy of the young boys. Later in the afternoon when the boys calmed down, we grouped the family on the lawn for some more peaceful and serene photos. It was a tremendous experience to work with such lovely and gracious people!

Newborn

I love shooting newborns because they are so delicate fresh in the world. We all love to see the tiny ones and their first experiences, even if they do sleep a lot! The sweet faces are just so cute! I was honored to be Jakob's first photographer and the opportunity to create the first of many memories.

Eat Bid Drink event at CBI -March 2010

My daughter's school, Congregation B`nai Israel, hired me to photograph their fundraiser/auction for the school, Eat Bid Drink. The interior decorators did a beautiful job of recreating a hip South Beach lounge for the festivities. The food was exquisitely prepared and visually beautiful, the music was hot and cool jazz, and plentiful, as were the martinis flowing from the ice sculptures! Everyone had a happy and fun time.  It was a successful evening and a big Thank You to Cindy Thau and her partner Carole who organized the event.
